How Lovejoy put Suffolk on the map
It's 40 years since a charming yet slightly rogue antiques dealer played by Ian McShaneappeared on ourTV screens. Lovejoy was originally a series of detective novels by Colchester author Jonathan Gash, first published in 1977, and now the much-loved series is going to be remade.71 episodes of Lovejoy were broadcast between 1986 and 1994 with scenes filmed across many locations in Suffolk,from Lavenham to Long Melford.
