William Boyd is a celebrated novelist, screenwriter, critic and short story writer.
He was born in Ghana and grew up there and in Nigeria. His debut novel A Good Man in Africa won the Whitbread First Novel Award and the Somerset Maugham Prize. Critical acclaim continued - amongst his accolades is winning Costa Novel of the year for his book ‘Restless’ and a Booker Prize nomination for ‘An Ice Cream War’.
When William became a Listed Londoner he had just released his novel ‘Ordinary Thunderstorms’ a literary thriller mostly set in Chelsea.
