'Iconic' Leicester music venue to close
A popular Leicester music venue is to close its doors for good due to financial pressures.
The Musician pub has operated from Crafton Street West since the early 2000s, offering live music at least six nights a week with a capacity of 220 people.
But owner Darren Nockles has confirmed he's sold the venue as it was no longer financially viable. In future, acts will perform at its partner location, The International, a new venue on Garden Street.
Music fans in Leicester have told us their reaction to the news, and BBC 6 Music DJ Steve Lamacq who's also chairman of 'Live' - the umbrella trade body representing the UK's live music industry - spoke to BBC Leicester's Ady Dayman.
