Essex angler lands record UK catch

An Essex angler has caught the biggest-ever recorded catfish in the UK.

Weighing an incredible 150lb (68kg) and more than eight feet long, Shaun Ing landed the catch at Chigborough Fisheries near Maldon and says it was a "dream come true."

The existing record was set at the same lake in May 2024.
