Bristol bus boycott Dr Paul Stephenson dies at 87
Dr Stephenson led the Bristol Bus Boycott in 1963.
He organised the boycott which overturned a ban on people from ethnic minorities working on buses in the city and was instrumental in paving the way for the first Race Relations Act in 1965.
Hear him talk about his experiences at the time.
Also hear from Vernon Samuels, who’s father was the first black bus driver in Bristol.
