Thousands deposited into Essex knife bins
Thousands of weapons have been left in knife bins in Essex in the past six months.
Essex Police estimated at least 1,000 blades were deposited outside police stations in both Chelmsford and Clacton, while bins outside a further 13 police stations in the county will all be cleared during the final week of September.
It coincides with a new law banning zombie-style knives and machetes.
Elliot Deady spoke with Detective Chief Inspector Ian Hughes about what they have found.
