New proposals for Leicester Market revamp
In August, a new plan to redevelop Leicester's historic market place was put forward by some of the market traders themselves.
They were concerned that Leicester City Council might abandon plans to return them to the site after a seven-and a half million pound redevelopment was paused in May.
City Mayor Sir Peter Soulsby said he was considering calls to keep the area as an open space, after it was cleared for the revamp. But he says he's now looking at the traders' idea.
BBC Leicester's political reporter Tim Parker spoke to Peter Soulsby, and market trader Odel Pittard, who helped put the new option together, spoke to Ady Dayman.
