How the Egyptian pyramids were built
Scientists have recently discovered a long-buried branch of the Nile river that once flowed beside the Egyptian pyramids. It's been dubbed the Ahramat Branch, with 'Ahramat' meaning 'pyramids' in Arabic.
Tim Ralph is an associate professor in environmental science at Macquarie University in Sydney. He worked on this investigation. He told Newshour's Jon Donnison more about his team's exciting discovery.
