‘Dad was killed, our lives were turned upside down’
Chris Smith was 8 when his father contracted a fatal illness from contaminated blood. Now an adult, Chris from Blunham in Bedfordshire is awaiting the conclusions of a public inquiry into the contaminated blood scandal. The inquiry heard that more than 30,000 people in the UK were infected with HIV and Hepatitis C after being given contaminated blood products during the 1970s and 1980s. Photo: Chris Smith.
