Paul McGann remembers Withnail in Stony Stratford
The actor also talks about the specially-made replica of his Doctor Who costume. One of Paul McGann’s memorable early roles was in the cult movie, Withnail and I, in 1986. Ten years later, he starred as The Doctor in an American-made TV film of Doctor Who. It’s a role which has led him to appear at many conventions, where he occasionally wears the costume made for him by Steven Ricks from Borehamwood. During his latest appearance at the Bedford Who Charity Con, he took time out to chat to our reporter.
