Nigeria’s Jeffery Kenny on representing Ukraine in Eurovision
Musicians from more than two dozen countries competed in the grand final of the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest in the UK on 13 May. Ukraine was represented by the electronic music duo, Tvorchi, consisting of Ukrainian producer Andrii Hutsuliak and Nigerian-born vocalist and songwriter Jimoh Augustus Kehinde, who goes by Jeffery Kenny.
Jeffery spoke to the BBC’s Karnie Sharp about his journey from Nigeria to Ukraine, how he started his career in music, and the significance of Tvorchi’s Eurovision song ‘Heart of Steel’.
