Man on Wire director James Marsh reflects on BBC Arena years
Oscar winning director James Marsh credits some of his inventive documentary filmmaking style to his years at the BBC. The Man on Wire director cut his teeth working on numerous BBC productions, principally in the early 1990s on Arena, the pathbreaking arts documentary series. As part of the BBC’s centenary celebrations, Marsh speaks to Tom Brook, reflecting on his formative years at the corporation, and his rise to award winning filmmaker.
