Mum speaks of travelling to Turkey for daughter's surgery due to NI waiting times
More children than ever in Northern Ireland are waiting to see a consultant for the first time. A review of child health waiting lists by the Commissioner for Children and Young People reveals a 184 per cent increase over 4 years. Mandy O'Connor's daughter, who was diagnosed with painful scoliosis, travelled to Turkey for surgery because of the 18 month waiting time.
