Singapore satire depicts family destroyed by homophobia
New Singaporean movie #LookAtMe is an ambitious work that is satire, family drama and noir thriller all rolled into one. Director Ken Kwek tells a story about lives destroyed by homophobia in Singapore – a country in which homosexuality is still illegal. Fresh from the #LookAtMe’s screening at the New York Asian Film Festival, Tom Brook speaks to Kwek about his aims for the movie.
