Indian TV journalist Barkha Dutt on father's Covid-19 death
High-profile Indian TV journalist Barkha Dutt, who's been reporting on the coronavirus crisis in her country, has lost her own father, S.P. Dutt to the disease.
In a powerful interview with BBC World Service Newshour presenter James Menendez (recorded on April 29), she described the difficulties of finding hospital treatment for him, and paid tribute to "a handsome, ever-smiling man".
She also talked about the tragedy facing the whole country and criticised the government for failing to act quickly enough.
