What does a red and white striped cane mean?

This is Sam. She uses a cane to get around, but no one knows what the red and white stripes on her cane mean. She is not a red belt at martial arts, nor is she an Aberdeen football fan - she has both sight and hearing impairments, which is what the red stripes symbolise. Unfortunately, no one seems to know about the deafblind cane, so Sam is spreading the word. She is not ignoring you, she is hearing and sight impaired.
