For centuries, the end of winter in Lahore was marked by thousands of kites dancing in the clouds. But after a series of accidents involving razor-sharp strings, the authorities banned the festival known as Basant. Vivienne Nunis wonders whether current Prime Minister of Pakistan and kite-flying fanatic, Imran Khan, is among those hoping to see the festival return.
