Conspiracy Of Kings is the brainchild of singer/songwriter/guitarist Richard Gardner, who's been writing songs for the last five years.

Taking influence from Alter Bridge, Alice In Chains, Audioslave and Black Stone Cherry - this Herefordshire three-piece write heavy rock with deep, thought-provoking lyrics.

Richard, Ross and Tom have an interesting alter-ego, though, earning their living from managing supermarkets, mental health services and making lightsabers!

"Great melodic rock delivered with conviction under layer-upon-layer of boundary smashing lyrics" - Andrew Marston.

Ibiza DJ

Ibiza DJ
A Worcester DJ has landed the opportunity of a lifetime - playing and promoting shows for Ibiza Rocks.

Jay Newman, who runs the Pro-ject warehouse, is now organising events on San Antonio's beach front.

Having made his name as a promoter in Worcester at underground locations - including a carwash - Jay has also landed the job as the official DJ for the Formula 1 world tour.

Alan McGee

Alan McGee
This week, we continue our series with one of Hay-on-Wye's most prolific hit-makers.

Alan McGee was the founding father of Creation Records, responsible for signing bands such as Oasis, Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine and The Libertines.

Alan was also behind a club night which saw appearances from The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs, Razorlight, Kasabian and The Darkness.

He's just launched a brand new record label called Creation23.

BBC Music Introducing at Lakefest

BBC Music Introducing at Lakefest
This month's sessions were recorded at Lakefest, which took place on the Eastnor Castle Deer Park near Ledbury.

Headliners this year included The Darkness, Marc Almond, The Waterboys, Reverend and the Makers, The Proclaimers, Melanie C and Toploader.

The event is organised by husband and wife Paul O'Neill and Caitlin Barrett of the Roving Crows - who played their first-ever festival through BBC Introducing.

Wanting to return the favour, they invited us to have a BBC Music tent at their annual event.

National exposure

National exposure
Philip Thomas Barber writes haunting, alternative folk songs about depression, flawed relationships and the games people play.

He's been compared to Ben Howard and Passenger, although his influences include Arcade Fire, Kings Of Leon, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Otis Redding, Rolling Stones and Joe Cocker.

He moved from Leominster to Malvern and put together Saint Alto - and, this week, appeared on every BBC Local Radio station in Britain on the best of BBC Music Introducing.

BBC Music Introducing at the Worcester Music Festival

BBC Music Introducing at the Worcester Music Festival
It's been dubbed as Worcester's version of SXSW in Texas!

Taking place in multiple venues across the city, from pubs, clubs, restaurants and cafes to historic buildings, river cruisers, record shops, on the streets and even in breweries, the festival is absolutely free to attend with hundreds of gigs to choose from from some of the best, new and emerging artists in the UK.

Each year the festival raises money for a chosen local charity. This year the Worcestershire Association of Carers will receive all the money dropped into buckets at the festival's venues across the weekend.

On Sunday, 16 September, we'll be showcasing House of Wolvxs, Bryn Teeling & The River Thieves, Flex, Stone Mountain Sinners and Mitch Loveridge at Drummonds from 2pm.
