Why don't women want to get involved in public life?
A Woman's Hour poll has found that just 10%of women would consider getting involved in public life in a formal way, with many feeling they are 'not that kind of person'. Labour MP Seema Malhotra co-founded the Fabian Women's network which seeks to bring more women into politics. She explains why she thinks a culture exists in this country which prevents many women getting involved in political life.
