Lord Judge: Criticism of Grenfell inquiry chair 'unfounded'
The former Lord Chief Justice for England and Wales has described the criticism of the Grenfell inquiry chair Sir Martin Moore-Bick as "completely unfounded".
Speaking to PM on BBC Radio 4 Lord Judge said Sir Martin is a man of "high-intellectual calibre" and an "admirable choice".
Responding to the criticism that Sir Martin is a "technocrat" Lord Judge replied: "He has to make a careful analysis of evidence - unemotionally - but understanding the emotions... He's got to look at the facts and decide what happened."
He added "that does not mean he's unaware of the emotional impact on those who were involved."
