Palin: How Jan Morris inspired me

Michael Palin has being paying tribute to the great travel writer Jan Morris as she turns 90.

Morris broke the news of the ascent of Everest and is widely known for books on Spain, Trieste and more.

It was her work on the bobbing gondolas of Venice that won a young Palin over as a fan, he told Broadcasting House presenter Paddy O'Connell.
