Johnson is 'busted' as a politician

Boris Johnson is "busted" as a politician but can return to being a national treasure, says his former media chief.

Guto Harri, who was communications director for Mr Johnson when he was London mayor, likened the latest twists in the leadership campaign to a Shakespearean plot "with so many dead bodies on the stage, so many people double crossed by their closest friends - it is astonishing".

He told World At One presenter Martha Kearney his former boss had miscalculated.
