Volunteer Libraries
The BBC has learnt that the number of paid library staff employed by councils in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland has almost HALVED in the last 6 years.
There are currently 241 employed across the area, compared to 559 in 2010. In Leicestershire, there's been a large increase in the number of volunteers - as dozens of smaller libraries have been handed over to the local community.
BBC Radio Leicester's Giles Taylor has been to Anstey library, which was taken over by local residents in October last year.
