Dr William Barras discusses how Radio 4's The Archers is a great resource for tracking how society's speech has changed over the years.

He spoke to Eddie Mair on the PM programme, as they listened to archive clips of Archers' actress Judy Bennett, who plays Shula Archer in the long-running radio soap.
