Minister David Mundell issues statement announcing he is gay

Scotland's only Conservative MP, David Mundell, who is also the secretary of state for Scotland and a member of David Cameron's cabinet, has issued a statement announcing he is gay.

David Mundell wrote online: "New Year, new start!"
