Transport industry boosted by A11
The A11 has proved a boon to transport firms, a manager of a company has told the BBC.
The dualling of the A11 was completed a year ago after a 40-year campaign.
Simon Lee, general manager of Foulgers Transport, of Snetterton, just off the A11 in Norfolk, said: "The new road has really helped journey times both in and out of the county.
"On a Friday when we are bringing all the vehicles back here to base. We used to get caught up in all the holiday traffic going to the North Norfolk coast.
"Similarly on a Sunday when we had vehicles going out, we would get caught up in the same traffic going back down south. So the new road has really helped journey times and saved driving time and diesel."
