I live in rural Warwickshire and happened to have my recorder with me last Friday afternoon when there was a series of terrific thunderclaps and rumbles. It hailed as well. Not far away in Coventry there were reports, mentioned on PM, of a funnel cloud. It was mad March weather at its most elemental."
