A race for survival
Being a doctor or nurse is stressful at the best of times, but especially so when the lives of small children are in your hands. Now a new BBC documentary follows the medical staff who are dedicated to ensuring some of the UK's sickest children and babies get to the hospitals with the best care.
Children's Emergency Rescue is the story of a team called Embrace, based in South Yorkshire, which transports youngsters hundreds of miles using mobile intensive care units on the road, and in planes and helicopters.
We spoke to Dr Hazel Talbot from the team, and the Waldan family who had to use the service when their twin baby girls became very ill.
You can watch Children's Emergency Rescue on BBC Two on Tuesday 28th January at 8pm.
