The pregnant child, the Catholic Church, and the excommunicated doctor; reclaiming Cambodia's musical heritage from the horrors of Pol Pot; plus dating as an art form.

Human stories from behind the global headlines. With George Arney.

In this edition: The pregnant child, the Catholic Church, and the excommunicated doctor; reclaiming Cambodia's musical heritage from the horrors of Pol Pot; plus dating as an art form.

Here on Outlook we talk to one of the Brazilian doctors who carried out a controversial abortion on a nine year old girl. The child's pregnancy was allegedly as a result of being abused by her stepfather. The doctor tells us how it feels to have been excommunicated from the Catholic church.

Guy De Launey meets some of the musicians in Cambodia who survived the years of Khmer Rouge. Although many musicians were killed, those who remain are working hard to preserve the country's musical heritage.

Art student Alex Humpreys comes into the Outlook studio to explain how and why she's turning her quest for the perfect husband into an academic endeavour.
