Bruch's Violin Concerto no 1

Linton Stephens presents an afternoon of concert recordings you won't hear anywhere else, beginning in the port town of New Ross in County Wexford, Ireland. Pianist Anna Fedorova performs Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, a musical depiction of an exhibition the composer saw at the Imperial Academy of Arts in Saint Petersburg. Gemma New conducts Bruch's first violin concerto with the soloist Noa Wildschut and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. Later, Clelia Cafiero, principal guest conductor at the Opéra de Tours, directs the BBC National Orchestra of Wales in Chausson's Symphony in B flat.
