With the popularity of astrology sky-high, Greg looks to the stars. He hears from Lord Luck, the accidental astrologer whose newspaper column was read by millions. Purchasers of the 1972 TV Times Almanac were disappointed to find their predictions for the year ahead were identical to those in 1971's Almanac. Greg uncovers the unlikely reason for this astral duplication. And he hears from a dog astrologer.

Matcha is everywhere. The Japanese green tea has been responsible for booming profits for high street coffee shops. So Greg traces the popularity of matcha through the years, from its relative obscurity in 2010, to the moment it really reached mainstream culture when it was mentioned on The Archers in 2025.

Speaking of archers, it's been a big year for archery. The sport has been given a boost by the success of The Odyssey earlier this year, so Greg looks for bows and arrows in the archives. He finds a world record attempt, and a classic episode of Blue Peter.

And as the jazz group Ezra Collective achieves its first number one album, Greg finds that they have the rare honour of being featured on BBC Radio 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Live and 6 Music.

Oh and there's a singing Melvyn Bragg too.
