Tonight, on the 100th birthday of John Coltrane, Soweto welcomes his third guest of the week, Shabaka, to share some of the music by Coltrane that has inspired him.

All this week, Soweto is celebrating the music and legacy of John Coltrane, and tonight marks Coltrane's 100th birthday. Joining him to mark the occasion, Soweto welcomes his third guest of the week, saxophonist, flautist and multi-instrumentalist Shabaka, to share three records by Coltrane that are meaningful to him.

‘Round Midnight is presented by award-winning saxophonist Soweto Kinch. This weekday late-night show celebrates the thriving UK jazz scene and spotlights the best new music alongside incredible acts from past decades.
