Seasoned tripper Margie Cooper and jewellery expert Ishy Khan are turning heads on the roads of South Yorkshire and Derbyshire in a dazzling, bright yellow 1969 Lamborghini Islero. It’s their first time road- tripping together, and as they size each other up, Margie has more pressing concerns - namely, her new and yet-to-be-broken-in leopard print shoes.
In the shops, Margie steers towards a decidedly mixed bag of curiosities, from a hefty stone relic to something fit for cocktail hour. Meanwhile, Ishy’s enthusiastic drawer-delving uncovers precious metal possibilities and pocket-sized curios, though he too seems unable to resist the lure of leopard print.
Away from all those antiques centres, the pair delve into Sheffield’s proud industrial heritage at Kelham Island Museum, discovering the story of the city’s legendary little mesters before trying their own hand at crafting a traditional pocket knife.
Then it’s off to the auction, where everything hangs on a knife edge. Will Margie carve out a victory, or can Ishy cut through the competition?
