In Perth, crewmates Ashleigh and Stuart head to a city centre car park, where a man is struggling with chest pains. Reluctant to cause a fuss, he describes his pain as mild, but when the team carry out an ECG reading of his heart, the results are alarming. They confirm that the patient, John, is unknowingly suffering a heart attack.

Meanwhile, Central Scotland is enduring hurricane-force winds. Phil and Ryan of the Special Operations Response Team deploy from their base in Renfrewshire to go to a serious car crash. Dorothy has suffered an injury to her leg while driving her grandchildren. But it’s not the only incident the team have to contend with during the miserable weather.

At the Ambulance Control Centre in Glasgow, call handler Fraser takes a call from a concerned office worker whose colleague has suffered a sudden, unexpected seizure. He must deliver potentially life-saving instructions while keeping the caller as calm as possible.
