In Pembrokeshire, the St Davids crew are alerted to two paddleboarders in distress, but their location is eight miles away - and it will take at least half an hour to reach them.
Just off the coast of Scarborough, a fisherman has slipped on rocks and has a suspected broken ankle; in fading light and a rising tide, the crew face a tricky extraction.
And across the Irish Sea, in Skerries, there are reports of two swimmers in difficulty near Shenick Island.
