Paris is home to more award-winning pastry chefs than anywhere else in the world. Here, the day revolves around patisserie. Morning begins with the buttery flakes of a croissant. At midday, a baguette tucked under the arm signals lunch. And by the afternoon, mouthwatering sweet treats are savoured like miniature works of art.
