Highlights from WOMAD

Lopa Kothari is at the UK's biggest world and roots music festival to share live performances by Colombian trio La Perla and aboriginal singer-songwriter Kankawa Nagarra.

Lopa Kothari presents her favourite moments from this year’s edition of WOMAD Festival. The UK's iconic celebration of world and roots music returned in July 2026, after a year's hiatus, boasting a new home at Neston Park, near Chippenham. Diving between the Sunflower Tent, the Village Stage and the Main Stage, Music Planet's highlights show includes live recordings from Colombian trio La Perla’s first UK performance as well as words and music from Walmatjarri singer-songwriter Kangawa Nagarra. Plus: tracks from Belize's Garifuna Collective and Uganda's Nakibembe Xylophone Troupe and a fresh take on a traditional song by the formidable flamenco artist Carolina La Chispa.
