Nick celebrates the 1980s with Carroll Thompson, in conversation about Lovers Rock, part of The Music Is Black season.

Nick chats to Queen of Lovers Rock, Carroll Thompson, all about the pivotal year of 1981 when she released her debut album, the sisterhood of the scene, and how the sound of Lovers Rock thrived amidst the heavy dub of UK soundsystem culture.

Plus, our resident film and TV critic Rhianna Dhillon shares her recommendations for what to watch this weekend. And as always, Nick has the Cloudbusting mix - an hour of uplifting tunes to banish the grey skies - and today it's all about the 80s.
