Bristol poet Charlotte Mossop kicks things off with a humorous look at family life on holiday, while Marion Bond retells the incredible story of Eilmer, the 11th-century monk who attempted one of history's earliest recorded flights.

We also hear an entertaining history of the English language from performer Melanie Branton, revisit the legendary Pudding Shop that launched countless overland adventures to the East with Jonathan Evans, and finish with a relatable late-night poem from Bristol's Jonathan P Dovey about the thoughts that arrive when sleep refuses to return.
