Leominster 18
In a city synonymous with the special forces, Roo sits in an SAS 'battle wagon' that depicts the role of the elite unit during the North African campaign of 1942.
Roo Irvine visits Hereford, a city closely linked to the military, to see a collection of Second World War vehicles, equipment and memorabilia. At The Bunker, she meets Colin and Kathryn Taylor, World War II enthusiasts and custodians of this living museum, to learn about the heroic work of the military police, field medics and the famous SAS. From the passenger seat of a restored Jeep and a Humber ambulance, Roo sees how Colin and Kathryn are helping to keep history alive.
Over in Leominster, two teams of bargain hunters are on manoeuvres, seeking profitable antiques to take to auction. On team red are twin sisters Jo and Sarah with their expert Charles Hanson. On the blue team are father and daughter Bobby and Jas, with Richard Madley. With £300 in their pockets, Bobby and Jas spot a desktop barometer and thermometer set and decide it’s a fair-weather option for later. Across the antiques centre, Charles think he's seeing double when Jo picks up an art nouveau sculpture that he believes looks just like her! Up in Wrexham, auctioneer Matthew Tong casts a keen eye on the teams’ items before putting them under the hammer.
