Kanye sexually assaulted me, says model, but he says it’s art
Model Jennifer An talks exclusively to the BBC and alleges that Kanye West, now known as Ye, sexually assaulted her on the set of a music video
Jennifer An, a former contestant on America’s Next Top Model, alleges Kanye West, now known as Ye, assaulted her during filming for a La Roux music video in New York in 2010. She is now suing the rapper.
An says West took control of the music set before allegedly choking her, smearing make-up across her face and placing his fingers in her mouth to simulate oral sex while cameras rolled.
Lawyers for the rapper do not deny the encounter took place but have argued it was part of an "intense and provocative theatrical performance", as West was trying to emulate a scene from the film American Psycho.
Jennifer An talks exclusively to Anoushka Mutanda Dougherty about her experience.
