Pip, Ravi and Connor return to the abandoned manor at night hoping for answers, but nothing they uncover makes sense. The arrival of two mysterious figures leads to a dangerous chase. Despite resulting in a promising discovery, tension mounts between the gang.

At court, the deliberation is brief, and the verdict comes sooner than anyone expects. Back at school, the pressure finally boils over. Pip loses control, earning herself a suspension. Pip’s parents and Ravi are unable to comfort her. Connor delivers news that brings the search for Jamie to an abrupt and indefinite halt.

Spiralling and inconsolable, Pip takes advice from an unlikely person and is inspired to act. Later, Pip meets Ravi, and they are finally able to have an honest conversation. When a new lead emerges, the group regain momentum with renewed determination, and a crucial clue cracks the case wide open.
