Episode 2
Pip hits a dead end and rethinks. Digging into Jamie’s recent behaviour and last movements, she realises he may not be an innocent victim after all.
Connor becomes increasingly anxious about his brother’s disappearance and begs Pip to help him find Jamie, but Pip is hesitant. Her last investigation taught her that once you start digging, you cannot predict what you will uncover, and her relationship with Cara is still suffering. When the police dismiss Connor’s concerns, Pip realises that she has no choice. Reluctantly, she agrees to investigate.
Pip is adamant Max must be involved in Jamie’s disappearance. Determined to follow her instincts, she and Ravi head to a golf club to pursue a lead. However, things don’t go to plan, and this adventure sets them back even further. Pip must admit that she has wasted valuable time on her obsession with Max.
Meanwhile, Max’s trial begins, and Becca appears in court to deliver her testimony. Pip is hopeful that Becca’s courage will strengthen the case and help secure a conviction as she prepares to give evidence herself.
With her original theory about Jamie’s disappearance defunct, Pip goes back to the drawing board. She retraces Jamie’s steps and visits Nat da Silva, and their conversation sparks a new lead. Before Pip can follow up on it, a piece of evidence emerges that casts Jamie in a troubling light. It suggests he may not have been an innocent victim and that whatever he was involved in might have played a part in his disappearance.
