Episode 5

Peter MacQueen is about to face one of his biggest challenges - setting up his very own croft. In this series, he travels across Scotland to meet every kind of crofter – and their animals – from those who have been crofting all their lives to people who are diversifying into new and amazing things.

There is a lot of fencing to be done on the croft so Peter heads to Uist to get a masterclass and whilst there, he learns about the importance of croft diversification. Keen to learn another new skill, he turns to a crofter in the Black Isle to get a lesson in how to use a traditional speal. As a reward for his hard work, he takes some friends to a croft that hosts tea parties where the animals take centre stage!
