Thoughts of the natural world and the cosmos are never far away, with an ode to the sun from vocal ensemble Shards and a meditation on the passing of time from Lea Bertucci. Singer Haydn Thorpe sets the words of nature writer Robert McFarlane to offer an evocative lament for a landscape marked by military tests and reclaimed by nature; and Hannah Peel and Bei Bei Wang serve up a deliciously surreal track to awaken the insects.
