Brìghde Chaimbeul and Jack Talty
A wonderful collaboration between Brìghde Chaimbeul, whose music emphasises the richness of the Scottish smallpipes, and Jack Talty, a renowned concertina player from County Clare.
Is ceoltóir ceannródaíoch í Brìghde Chaimbeul a bhfuil lámh mhaith aici ar an cheol Ceilteach agus ar na píoba beaga Albanacha. Cuireann cóiriú s’aici ar cheol na bpíob béim ar shaibhreas na huirlise. Tá Jack Talty i gcuideachta Bhrìghde ar an aistear ceoil seo do cheol traidisiúnta na hÉireann agus don cheol Albanach. Bíonn Jack ag seinm ar an chonsairtín, is cumadóir agus léiritheoir ceoil é ó Chontae an Chláir, áit a bhfuil ceol traidisiúnta na hÉireann go flúirseach ann. Is meascán caolchúiseach de thraidisiúin comhroinnte Ceilteacha, cultúrtha agus ceoil araon atá san eagrán siamsúil seo.
Brìghde Chaimbeul is a leading purveyor of experimental Celtic music and the Scottish smallpipes and an artist whose unique arrangements for pipe music emphasise the rich textural drones of the instrument. Joining Brìghde on this musical exploration of the meeting points between traditional Irish and Scottish music is Jack Talty, a concertina player, composer and producer from the traditional Irish music hotbed of County Clare.
This entertaining episode is a subtle fusion of shared Celtic traditions, both cultural and musical.
