But the two are suddenly ambushed by the Hidden Mist ninja, led by a jonin named Ganryu. Naruto later learns that Ganryu is the sole survivor of an incident known as the “Tragedy of Yosuga Pass” that has left the man harboring deep hatred toward the Hidden Stone.
