Ulster Orchestra

The Ulster Orchestra with movements from Smetana’s Má vlast, Falla’s Three-Cornered Hat Suite No.1 and Francisco Coll’s Turia, a shimmering guitar concerto written in 2017.

Emilia Hoving conducts the Ulster Orchestra in a colourful evening of music.

The Ulster Hall programme opens with the vibrant Spanish rhythms of Falla’s Three Cornered Hat Suite No. 1, before guitarist Sean Shibe joins the orchestra for Francisco Coll’s Turia, a shimmering concerto written by the Spaniard in 2017.

After the interval, the mood turns to the epic and poetic, with a selection of movements from Smetana’s Má vlast, painting expansive musical landscapes.
