This evening's Classical Mixtape starts with Saint-Saens's beautiful 'Le Cygne' followed by a gorgeous choral setting of Nimrod from the Enigma Variations performed by VOCES8. Mozart, Mendelssohn and Debussy provide blissful piano nestled between the immersive soundtracks from the 1999 film 'American Beauty' and Howard Shore's 'The Lord of the Rings' along with another Swan connection in the shape of Elena Kats-Chernin's 'Wild Swans, Eliza's Aria' arranged for Violin & Piano. Puccini's Humming Chorus brings our journey to a close.
