Children injured by NHS can claim damages for lifetime lost earnings
Ruling may lead to significant damages awarded to children injured by medical negligence.
Until now, children have only been entitled to compensation for lost earnings for the years they are expected to live. We consider the wider impact on public finances. Also on PM, NHS bosses are warning that a shortage of medical cement is likely to lead to delays for a number of patients waiting for knee or hip replacements.
